AVIS Canarias has joined the extended family of The North Face Transgrancanaria with the aim of facilitating and enhancing mobility during this major sporting event. The 27th edition of one of the world’s most prestigious trail running races will now count on the support of one of the leading car rental companies in the Canary Islands. Thanks to an agreement between both parties, participants in the upcoming edition will benefit from an exclusive 15% discount on car rentals. Additionally, the organization will have access to a substantial vehicle fleet to support logistics operations.

For her part, Wendy Cruz, Marketing Director of The North Face Transgrancanaria, highlighted the “honor of having AVIS Canarias on board.” “It will be a major relief for the race’s logistics, as they will provide cars to be deployed across nearly the entire island,” she explained. She also emphasized the added value for participants, who will benefit from rental discounts “which they can apply for after registering or later through the official race website.”
The 27th edition of The North Face Transgrancanaria will take place from March 4 to 8, 2026, and will gather thousands of participants from all over the globe in Gran Canaria. So far, after just one week of registration, more than 4,000 athletes have signed up across all race distances. Notably, the Marathon event sold out its 1,300 spots in just 54 hours. The competition format will follow the same model as in recent years: El Gigante Vertical Kilometer on Wednesday; Promo and Half on Thursday; Marathon and Classic on Friday; and Advanced, Short, and Family races on Saturday. The Transgrancanaria Kids race will also have its spotlight on Friday at Las Canteras Beach.
