CLASSIC 126KM

The Transgrancanaria Classic is like life itself. It consists of 126 kilometers and almost 7,000 meters of positive elevation gain that transport you to a world of physical and psychological sensations that unfold as the hours go by. It’s tough, but as our claim says, ‘A goal, A dream.’ Maspalomas awaits with open arms to welcome you after 12, 15, 20, or 30 hours that seem like a lifetime.

* RP1 Tenoya will only be an aid station with liquid supply (water, pepsi and energy drinks).

 

The cut-off time refers to the maximum time to get out from the checkpoint. In other words, participants must leave the aid station in question before the time published as the cut-off time in order to continue in the competition. Otherwise, you would be disqualified for being out of race time.

Parking will be forbidden in this road, crowd can park in Avenida Alcalde Manuel Luján.

The aid station will be inside La Vaguada. For a better comfort, external assistances will have an exclusive place in the floor above.

Tejeda has several free parking areas.

External assistance and drop-bags

EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE

External assistance will be allowed at: Arucas (Barreto), Teror, Fontanales (Moya), Artenara, Tejeda, El Garañón and Tunte.

It won’t be allowed at the following locations: Tenoya, El Hornillo and Ayagaures.

DROP-BAGS

Participants of the CLASSIC race may use a drop-bag service to collect new equipment in two aid stations: Fontanales and El Garañón. They must take the equipment they want to receive to the bib collection in Expomeloneras at the bib collection time, and this material must fit in one of the bags supplied by the organization (35 x 50 cm size) and clearly identify where they should be sent.

The organization will return these bags to Expomeloneras and the runners will have to collect them on Sunday from 09:00 to 14:00 h. Shipments with the droppbags contents will not be sent by the organization to the runners after the race.

Mandatory equipment

The organization determines the mandatory equipment needed to complete the race. To participate in the race every athlete must carry along the entire route the compulsory material according to their chosen race:

* The COLD KIT will be part of the mandatory equipment. 2 days before the race, according to the weather forecast, the organization will communicate the decision to keep it or remove it (totally or partially) from the mandatory equipment list for the race.

 

  • Hot gloves (COLD KIT*)
  • Windproof trousers (COLD KIT*)
  • Thermal T-shirt (COLD KIT*)
  • Long thermal pants (COLD KIT*)
  • Race bib
  • ID, passport or driving license (with photo)
  • Emergency blanket (minimum 100 cm x 200 cm)
  • Mobile phone (must be operative in Spain) with enough credit and properly charged battery
  • Water containers (you can add up several containers): 1,5 liters
  • Useful deposit for drinking at the aid stations (if the runner already carries a water container in a soft flask format, this will not be needed)
  • Headlamp, flashlight or front light with spare batteries required (minimum 200 lumens)
  • Red tail light (runners shall lighten it during the night hours)
  • Plenty of food to eat throughout the race
  • Breathable waterproof jacket
  • Cap, bandana, or similar
  • Cash (at least 50€)

Medical certificate

Registered participants in the Classic and Advanced races must upload a medical certificate document filled and signed by a doctor. This form is valid for one year before the race unless it is necessary to modify it because of disease or injury. It must be uploaded to the registration site before January 21st 2026. You can download the form here.

Registration will not be ended or validated until the runner encloses the medical certificate and the organization confirms it. A paid race entry without a medical certificate will not be valid. The certificate will validate the participant’s capacity for the race.

With your registration in Transgrancanaria 2026 you can have a discount on a complete medical check-up at Hospitales Universitarios San Roque, with essential tests for adequate monitoring of your health to adequately prepare for a test as tough as this such as a stress test, echocardiogram , chest x-ray, blood tests, pulmonology consultation or spirometry.
