The American athlete returns for the third time after two previous DNFs, while the British runner returns following her fifth-place finish in the 2022 Marathon

Davis will compete alongside Henriette Albon, Katarzyna Dombrowska, and Katharina Hartmuth in one of the most competitive editions in history

The North Face Transgrancanaria continues to expand its roster of elite runners for the upcoming edition, held from March 4th to 8th. American Hayden Hawks returns for his third attempt at the race with the clear goal of fighting for the win after two previous withdrawals. Joining the starting line of the Classic modality is British runner Eleanor Davis, who joins a star-studded field of contenders including last year’s winner, Norway’s Henriette Albon, Poland’s Katarzyna Dombrowska, and Germany’s Katharina Hartmuth, among others.

Hayden Hawks: Thirst for redemption in Gran Canaria Hayden Hawks, a Hoka team runner with 918 ITRA points, arrives in Gran Canaria with unfinished business. The Utah native will face the Classic for the third time after being unable to finish his previous two appearances. His track record at the highest level solidifies his candidacy for victory across the 126 kilometers separating Las Palmas de Gran Canaria from the finish line at Parque Sur de Maspalomas.

Hawks’ relationship with the island dates back to 2019, when he won the 30km Artenara Trail a month before his Transgrancanaria debut. He now returns determined to write a different chapter in his history with this race. The 2025 season was brilliant for the American, featuring victories at Tarawera Ultra-Trail by UTMB and the Kodiak Ultra Marathons by UTMB 100-miler, as well as a podium finish at ChiangMai Thailand by UTMB.

Eleanor Davis: The Briton who knows the terrain Eleanor Davis, a The North Face team runner, will also contest the 126km Classic. The Briton is no stranger to the event, having finished fifth in the Marathon modality back in 2022.

The 2025 season has been highly successful for Davis, with wins at Ultra-Trail Snowdonia by UTMB and Arc of Attrition by UTMB. Her list of achievements also includes prestigious races like Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB (2023) and Istria 100 by UTMB (2023). Recent podiums, such as third at Asics SaintéLyon (2024), prove she is currently in peak form.
