The tourist company will once again play a leading role by sponsoring the Transgrancanaria Kids and the runner’s bag

Lopesan Hotel Group and The North Face Transgrancanaria have signed a renewal agreement whereby the Canary Islands tourism company continues for another year as official sponsor of the race, extending the historical collaboration of Expomeloneras. Lopesan Hotel Group thus demonstrates its firm commitment to the promotion of tourism through sports.
Wendy Cruz, marketing director of The North Face Transgrancanaria, highlights the “enormous satisfaction to continue working closely with a Canary Island company that is a reference at international level”. “It is crucial to be able to count on a strategic partner in the hotel sector to organize an event of this magnitude, with a large number of runners coming from outside the island,” adds Cruz.
The 2025 edition, which will take place between February 19 and 23, has already broken the registration record with more than 5,300 participants, 57% of whom are from outside the Canary Islands, which will have a direct impact on the island’s wealth.
The general manager of the Hotel Division of the Lopesan Group, José Alba, pointed out that the inclusion of this collaboration with the Transgrancanaria “offers us the opportunity to reaffirm Lopesan Hotel Group’s commitment to sport and nature”.
Gran Canaria is a reference for active tourism worldwide, but “it is essential to continue supporting the promotion of the destination and focus on the goal of getting all athletes, of any level and nationality, to consider that the island is not only the ideal place to enjoy their vacations with family or friends, but they can take advantage, thanks to our privileged weather conditions, to plan their training throughout the year and live a unique experience in our excellent hotel facilities,” said José Alba.
Lopesan Hotel Group will allow athletes and organization staff of The North Face Transgrancanaria to enjoy the amenities offered by the Lopesan Villa del Conde Resort & Thalasso and the Kumara Serenoa by Lopesan Hotel. The participants of the 26th edition have a 15% discount code to stay between February 14 and 24, 2025 in the hotels that the company offers in Gran Canaria, belonging to the brands Lopesan Hotels & Resorts, Corallium by Lopesan Hotels and Abora by Lopesan Hotels.
Transgrancanaria Kids Abora by Lopesan Hotels
The hotel company will be the main sponsor of the Transgrancanaria Kids, through its brand Abora by Lopesan Hotels, focused on the family segment with an attractive proposal of fun and leisure on an all-inclusive basis. The main objective of the race for children between 7 and 12 years old is to promote the love for mountain sports among the youngest and the practice of sports as a family.
For the second consecutive year, the runner’s bag will feature the image of Lopesan for Good, the corporate identity seal that brings together the various projects launched by Lopesan Hotel Group to try to reduce the impact generated by tourism in our environment, as well as the promotion and development of a business model that respects the environment. These bags are made with 100% ecological materials, so they are perfectly identified with the brand’s slogan: “Inspiring a sustainable journey”.
The North Face Transgrancanaria is a race organized by Arista Eventos that is sponsored by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria institutions, through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Insular Sports Institute; the Government of the Canary Islands with the Canary Islands Latitude of Life; Maspalomas Costa Canaria; the Municipal Sports Institute of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; the Teror City Council and the Tejeda City Council. In addition, it has the support of private companies as The North Face, San Roque University Hospitals, and Fred.
