OPEN AGÁLDAR 21KM
Participants will experience a true journey through the contrasts of the municipality of Gáldar. From the lush green midlands and traditional farmsteads where the flocks that produce Gáldar’s renowned cheeses graze, to the distinctive red soils of Pico Viento, near Samarrita.
They will descend among the imposing cardón cacti that line the trails towards El Agazal, cross the bed of the El Juncal ravine and run around the surroundings of Amagro Mountain, a site of extraordinary historical, archaeological and spiritual value that preserves part of the ancestral memory of northwestern Gran Canaria.
Open Agáldar is an opportunity to discover, stride by stride, the natural, cultural and human richness of the municipality that was once the first capital of Gran Canaria.
