The North Face Transgrancanaria has opened the registration process for the twenty-sixth edition of the race. The test that turns 22 years will take place from February 19 to 23, 2025. Through the website www.transgrancanaria.net, people who love trail running can sign up for any of the eight modalities.
The race organization opens a 48-hour flash period with a reduced price for those who sign up before Friday the 5th at 12:00 p.m. In addition, people who resides in the Canary Islands will obtain an additional discount with the aim of promoting the practice of trail running among local runners.
With this pricing system, a resident will be able to register during the first 48 hours in the Classic modality for a price of 120 euros, 95 in the Advanced, 55 in the Marathon, 30 euros for the Half, or 20 for the Promo. the Vertical Kilometer and the Family. From 12:00 p.m. on July 5, a second period will begin with another reduced price until October 10.
As Carlos Torrent, the director of the race, explains, “this edition is once again exciting and brings several new features such as the start of the Advanced race from Teror, the second longest one, and the Youth and Family modalities.” “The Classic race is part of the Gran Canaria World Trail Majors circuit along with nine other trail events that are the most important in the world, so that we can get an idea of the internationality and renown that our event has achieved,” adds Torrent.
The North Face Transgrancanaria will kick off on Wednesday, February 19 in the Agaete Valley with the spectacular Kilómetro Vertical el Gigante. The next day, the focus of the race will reach the heart of Gran Canaria with the Half and Promo tests. Friday the 21st will be the day of the two main events, the Marathon that will begin in the morning from Tejeda, and the 126-kilometer Classic with its amazing departure at Las Canteras Beach at midnight. Finally, on Saturday, February 22, the Advanced start will take place first thing in the morning.

Por su parte, el concejal de Deportes indicó que Teror ofrece su entorno natural y su red de senderos como atrac.
Fernando González, CEO de Arista Eventos, mostró su felicidad por este acuerdo e hizo hincapié en que el pueblo “es uno de los lugares más importantes para el desarrollo del trail-running, no solo en Canarias, sino también en España”. Con ello, se confirma la apuesta del municipio por este tipo de pruebas, ya que, aparte de The North Face Transgrancanaria, acoge importantes carreras como la Aguas de Teror Trail Desafío de los Picos y El Álamo Race. “La gente va a disfrutar y va a ser más fácil exportar lo bonito que tiene Teror de día”, abundó González, que también quiso resaltar la apuesta por la cantera con la prueba Youth y la fiesta familiar con la Family.
Por último, Mónica Nuez, presidenta de Aguas de Teror, destacó que la empresa del municipio, también patrocinadora de la carrera, reafirma su compromiso con la comunidad y su responsabilidad social corporativa en el ámbito del deporte y la vida saludable.
La próxima edición de The North Face Transgrancanaria se celebrará del 18 al 23 de febrero de 2025 y sus inscripciones se abrirán a partir del próximo 3 de julio.
