The North Face American runner wins her second consecutive victory in the 47 kilometer distance

The Italian athlete of the Hoka team won in a spectacular final overtaking at the gates of Parque Sur

The municipality of Tejeda witnessed the departure in three waves of 1,600 runners who participated in the most crowded race of The North Face Transgrancanaria 2025. In addition, with this edition’s race, the Marathon distance debuts in the short series circuit of Gran Canaria World Trail Majors.

The North Face American Jennifer Lichter dominated from start to finish the race, which she won for the second consecutive year. The winner managed to open a comfortable lead especially in the passage through Ayagaure, where she was already more than five minutes ahead of her immediate pursuer, Sylvia Nordskar. Lichter stopped the stopwatch at the finish line of Parque Sur in Maspalomas in less than four hours, 03:59:42. Finally, the Norwegian runner of the Hoka team kept the second position, arriving less than eight minutes behind the winner. Meanwhile, the Catalan runner of the Merrell brand, Celia Balcells, completed the women’s podium.

In the men’s category, emotion is the word to define what happened. At the Tunte crossing, Francesco Puppi was in third place, two minutes and fifty-five seconds behind Robert Pkemoi, who at that moment was the outstanding leader of the race. At the next point of Ayagaures, the distance between the two was reduced to 2:20 and he was already in second place. Once on the finish line, the Italian overtook the leader with 300 meters to go in a spectacular sprint into Parque Sur.
