More than 50% of the runners are from outside the Canary Islands
The Marathon race completed the runners bibs in 72 hours with 1,300 participants
The 26th edition of The North Face Transgrancanaria will break all records. In 96 hours, more than 3,400 athletes of 60 different countries have already registered to participate seven months before the race that will take place from February 19 to 23, 2025.
The registration process began on Wednesday, July 3 at 12:00 noon. Already in the first hour more than 600 runners had signed up. At the end of the 48-hour flash period the number of registered participants had reached 2,891, 61% more at this point compared to the last edition.
This shows the enthusiasm to participate in a race organized by Arista Eventos for already 22 years and that in this edition will bring changes such as the ascent to the highest peak on the island, El Pico del Pozo de Las Nieves or the start of the Advanced modality from the municipality of Teror, which will also host the Youth and the Family.
As if that were not enough, the Marathon closed its registration in just 72 hours with 1,300 runners. Furthermore, it should be noted that more than 50% of the athletes who have registered in any of the eight races come from outside the Canary Islands, a sign of the international demand and prestige that The North Face Transgrancanaria has already acquired.
The registration rate continues unstoppable and in some races it already reaches 70% of its capacity, as is the case of the 126km Classic, a scoring event for the Gran Canaria World Trail Majors international circuit; and the 21 km Half race that will start in Tunte, with the spectacular La Plata ascent.
The organization offers a second price period with a discount applied until October 10. In addition, runners residing in the Canary Islands will continue to enjoy another additional discount for registration.
