The event, held at Hospitales Universitarios San Roque, highlights the renewal of the agreement with The North Face until 2029

The organizers of The North Face Transgrancanaria held an institutional breakfast this morning at the Press Room of the Hospitales Universitarios San Roque in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The meeting served as a gesture of gratitude to the institutions, sponsors, and collaborators who make this international trail running event possible, recognized as one of the most prestigious in the world.

The event also served to officialize the renewal of the sponsorship agreement with The North Face for three more years, extending the collaboration until 2029. The announcement was made through a commemorative video, followed by speeches from institutional representatives and a family photograph reflecting the collaborative spirit that characterizes this race.

The President of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, emphasized the support provided by the island institution to The North Face Transgrancanaria “as a key element in our cross-cutting Government action from the Sports area” and expressed his congratulations on the renewal of the agreement. “We say it on various occasions: the Cabildo makes a decisive commitment to sport as an element of health promotion, social cohesion, and also the projection and revitalization of the island,” he emphasized.

For his part, the Sports Counselor of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Aridany Romero, highlighted that with sporting events like this, “we are also collectively maintaining and preserving our environment, our island of Gran Canaria.” Romero further stated: “I continue to maintain that we are the best trail race in the world.”

Sebastián Sansó, CEO of Hospitales Universitarios San Roque, stated that “for a healthcare group primarily from Gran Canaria, with interests not only in the capital but also in San Bartolomé de Tirajana… The North Face Transgrancanaria is a product that projects a very important image and reputation for us.”

The Director of The North Face Transgrancanaria, Carlos González, stressed that the race “is the result of the joint work of public administrations, private companies, media, the organizing team, volunteers, and the entire productive fabric of Gran Canaria.”

Speakers included Carla Campoamor (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), Francisco Perera (Mayor of Tejeda), Francisco García (Mayor of Santa Lucía de Tirajana), and José Agustín Arencibia (Mayor of Teror), along with representatives from Fred.
