The itinerary will be very similar to the last edition with the biggest change of the beginning of the Advance race from Teror

The main day will be again on Friday with the starts of the Classic and the Marathon

The 26th edition of The North Face Transgrancanaria will take place from February 19 to 23, 2025. The event will once again feature six modalities adapted to several skill levels. The North Face Transgrancanaria will kick off on Wednesday, February 19 with El Kilómetro Vertical El Gigante. The Promo and Half will begin the next day, while the two most iconic events will begin on Friday the 21st, the Marathon at 9:30 a.m. and the Classic at midnight from Las Canteras beach. First thing in the morning on Saturday it will be the turn of the Advanced, the second longest race. Finally, there will also be the Family and Kids tests for all family members.

One of the biggest changes regarding the course affects Roque Nublo, since in the next edition we will enjoy it from another point of view. While we await for a regulation that allows the ascent to the monolith in an orderly and respectful manner with the environment, the organization, after several meetings with the Environment Department of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, has made the decision to modify the course avoiding the ascent to the base of the rock formation and thus trying to raise awareness in society of the fragility of our unique nature. This will allow you to enjoy other panoramic views of the most emblematic rock in Gran Canaria and a unique vision that will return to The North Face Transgrancanaria after more than 10 years: the ascent to the surroundings of the highest peak on the island, El Pico del Pozo de Las Nieves. The magnificent 360º panoramic view of the island of Gran Canaria returns with the incomparable setting made up of Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga and the Teide volcano on the neighboring island of Tenerife.

Registrations will open on Wednesday, July 3 at 12:00 on the website www.transgrancanaria.net. Arista Eventos, the race’s organizing company, will open a flash period with a reduced price for those who sign up during the first 48 hours.

In Gran Canaria we often say that our island is a miniature continent. And there is no better way to prove it than the Transgrancanaria Advanced. The beautiful town of Teror, the Parque Rural of Nublo, the Caldera of Tejeda and the iconic towns of Artenara and Tejeda are the highlights in the first half of the race.

The second part takes place along the southern side of the Island. We leave the green fields behind to enter a drier area, which will make us discover the meaning of that “miniature continent”.

The North Face Transgrancanaria is a race organized by Arista Eventos with the sponsorship of the institutions Cabildo de Gran Canaria, through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Instituto Insular de Deportes; the Government of the Canary Islands with Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida; Maspalomas Costa Canaria; the Instituto Municipal de Deportes de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; and the Tejeda City Council. It is also supported by companies such as The North Face, Hospitales Universitarios San Roque, Fred. Olsen Express, 226ERS, Sonocom Audiovisuales, Lopesan Hotel Group, ExpoMeloneras, and Aguas de Teror.
