The Gran Canaria event will be held from 4 to 8 March 2026

The North Face Transgrancanaria will open registration on the 2nd of July, starting at 12:00 noon. The event, which will be held from 4 to 8 March 2026, will once again bring together thousands of runners on the island of Gran Canaria to take on some of the eight distances offered by the race. Those interested in taking part in the 27th edition of the race can register via the race’s official website: www.transgrancanaria.net.

The outdoor sports brand The North Face will once again be the main sponsor of an event that maintains its format of races throughout the week. The Vertical Kilometre El Gigante will kick off the race and will be followed by the rest of the distances: Half, Promo, Marathon, Short -formerly known as Youth-, Family, Advanced and Classic.

The longest distance, the Classic, will once again be part of the international Gran Canaria World Trail Majors circuit. While the Marathon distance, which last year broke the record for the number of participants with 1,600, will once again count towards the Shorts Series by Gran Canaria World Trail Majors.

The event will also have training categories in different modalities to promote sport among the adolescent population. In addition, the youngest members of the family will also enjoy specific modalities such as Family and Kids.

Arista Eventos, organiser of the race, will soon present more details and news regarding the registration process, locations and routes of the different distances for the 2026 edition.

The North Face Transgrancanaria is a race organised by Arista Eventos with the sponsorship of the institutions Cabildo de Gran Canaria, through Turismo de Gran Canaria and the Instituto Insular de Deportes; the Government of the Canary Islands with Islas Canarias Latitud de Vida; Maspalomas Costa Canaria; the Instituto Municipal de Deportes de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; and the Ayuntamiento de Tejeda.
