Fans will have the chance to get tips from the world’s elite, test the new Altamesa technology, customize their gear, and enjoy a unique experience at Roque Nublo
The countdown to The North Face Transgrancanaria 2026 has begun. As the title sponsor, The North Face has designed an ambitious activation program that will turn the island into the global epicenter of trail running from March 3rd to 7th. The goal: to elevate the runner and fan experience beyond the competition by merging sport, culture, and community.
Throughout the week, the operations hub at Expomeloneras will host a multidisciplinary range of activities. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to customize their favorite gear with resident artist t_diary and test the new The North Face Altamesa on a state-of-the-art trail simulator with automatic incline.
Total Immersion with the Trail Elite One of the main highlights of this edition is the proximity to the brand’s elite team. Runners can attend technical advisory sessions where stars like Pau Capell, Fernanda Maciel, Jonathan Albon, and Ida-Sophie Hegemann will share their secrets and strategic advice for tackling the different race categories, from the KV El Gigante to the legendary Classic.
The program of activities also includes:
-
Expedition Cinema: Exclusive screenings such as “TALA”, which chronicles Fernanda Maciel’s 800km crossing of the Pyrenees, and “Cornwall Circuit”, about Elsey Davis’s historic record.
-
Community Runs: The chance to share real training miles on local trails alongside professional athletes.
-
The North Face Speaker Series: Inspirational talks with Elsey Davis, Stephanie Case, and Olivia Amber regarding performance limits and outdoor culture.
Summit Experiences: Sunset at Roque Nublo The week’s highlight will take place on Thursday, March 5th, with a dream trail running experience toward Roque Nublo. Driven by the new Altamesa V2, participants can enjoy an exclusive sunset route in one of the world’s most iconic landscapes.
To close out the week, the brand will set up strategic cheering points on Friday and Saturday, where the community can cheer on runners in a festive atmosphere with music and refreshments.
