DERNIÈRES NOUVELLES

Gemini ha dicho Aquí tienes la traducción de la noticia al inglés y al francés, manteniendo un tono periodístico y deportivo. English Translation The Albon Family Dominates The North Face Transgrancanaria Classic 2026 Second consecutive victory for the Norwegian in the 125km flagship race. Her husband redeemed himself after last year’s second place with a memorable performance. The Classic race began in the early hours of Friday, a key event in the World Trail Majors international circuit, once again delivering a magnificent spectacle for trail running enthusiasts. In the women’s category, Henriette Albon (Isfjorden IL) secured her second consecutive win at The North Face Transgrancanaria. Although her rivals didn’t make it easy, she didn’t take the lead until after passing the mountain village of Tejeda. Early on, Claudia Tremps (On Team) set an aggressive pace from Tenoya, but was caught in Fontanales by Katarzyna Dombrowska (On Team). The drama continued at the El Hornillo checkpoint, where Albon overtook Tremps to sit in second, leaving Dombrowska with a six-minute lead over the chasing duo. The turning point came at the Tejeda aid station (km 80.5). Dombrowska arrived with a visible injury to her right leg, which eventually forced her to withdraw. Albon seized the opportunity, fueled by the motivation of leading, and stretched her advantage to 20 minutes. Behind her, a beautiful display of sportsmanship occurred: after a grueling battle and fluctuating positions, Claudia Tremps and Mélanie Delasoie decided to cross the finish line together, holding hands. Jonathan Albon Returns to Win The men’s category was defined by high-level parity between four of the world’s best ultra-distance runners. A lead group consisting of Jonathan Albon (The North Face), Hannes Namberger (Dynafit), Josh Wade (The North Face), and Tom Evans (Asics) stayed within 30 seconds of each other for the first eight hours. Unfortunately, the freezing night temperatures forced Evans to withdraw at Degollada de Las Palomas. In the final stages, Albon maintained a comfortable lead through the heat of the Barranco de los Vicentes. He crossed the finish line at Parque Sur in 12:58:08, claiming the victory that eluded him last year. Namberger, in his Gran Canaria debut, finished second just five minutes later, while Josh Wade repeated his third-place finish from the previous edition. CLASSIC Standings Women: 1. Henriette Albon (15:16:33); 2. Claudia Tremps & Mélanie Delasoie (16:49:20). Men: 1. Jonathan Albon (12:58:08); 2. Hannes Namberger (13:03:10); 3. Josh Wade (13:07:54).
