The mountain race offers a ‘flash’ promotion with significant discounts for those registered during the first 48 hours – The event will repeat the format of the previous edition, with competitions from Wednesday to Sunday.
Transgrancanaria 2024 already has an opening date for registrations. At 12:00h Canary Islands time on the next Wednesday, July 12th, the registration platform will be launched on the website www.transgrancanaria.net with the novelty this year of a ‘flash’ period, with a reduced price, for those who sign up during the first 48 hours. Arista Eventos, the organizing company, wanted to have a gesture with runners and has maintained the same rates for the fourth consecutive year despite the inflation recorded throughout Europe in the last year.
The mountain race will maintain the format of the previous edition after receiving good feedback from participants. The Vertical Kilometer El Gigante will kick off the competition on Wednesday, February 21st. The Promo and the Starter will be held the following day, while the Marathon will take place on Friday, February 23rd. At midnight on the same day, the Classic will start on the iconic Las Canteras beach, and early Saturday morning, the Advanced will begin. The routes will be practically identical to this year’s, with slight modifications that will not significantly affect any of the distances.
Unlike previous editions, registration prices will be divided into three periods. The first period, during the first 48 hours, will have a special promotion for runners with significant discounts on all races. From 12:00h on July 14th, the second period will begin with a reduced price that will last until November 2nd. After this date, registration will have the normal price.
Additionally, Canary Islands residents will receive an additional 20% discount as in previous years with the aim of promoting trail running among the local population. With this pricing system, a Canary runner can register during the first 48 hours in the Classic category for a price of 112 euros, 88 euros in the Advanced, 52 euros in the Marathon, 28 euros in the Starter, or 16 euros in the Promo and the Vertical Kilometer.
The Transgrancanaria has the sponsorship of the institutions Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Gran Canaria Tourism Board and Gran Canaria European Sport Island, the Government of the Canary Islands with Canary Islands Latitude of Life, Maspalomas Costa Canaria, the Municipal Sports Institute of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and the Tejeda City Council; as well as the companies Fred. Olsen Express, Hospitales San Roque Universitarios, Expomeloneras, 226ERS, and Sonocom Audiovisuales.
